Changeling National Diary - Part 1

Started out 1.5 hours late as
dreamingchristi wasn't ready yet but made good time. Good thing that Lucy wasn't going as Christi was hogging pretty much all of the boot (with folded over backseat). This woman had more clothes in her suitcase than I probably own... ;o)
There was hardly any traffic except on the A5. When we arrived,
hyperabi, the Solent lot,
rich_redcap,
windszwept,
crocodilewings and the Cambridge posse were already there.
Popped into town with
deliriousnowt,
littlecat and Edd and tried to buy apple mead but the shop hadn't had the delivery so I had to do with Spiced and Blackcurrant Mead and Blackberry Wine.
Picked a nice bed in a four person room, checked in, made food plans with Abi, inspected the kitchen, asked my counterpart at the hostel for the nearest big supermarket and went to Wrexham with
robinbloke to do the shopping. It's very scary to shop for 40 people...
Popped into Homebase for a first aid kit and was glad none of the Nocker players were there to see the Rolling Workshop, they would have bought it straight off...
Official introductions and announcements followed. There were 32 people in the end, a lot less than originally planned.
Time in was called, people began to roleplay and the Bogganarmi stormed the kitchen.
Edd Knight deserves a special mention, he did a lot of work helping out in and around the kitchen.
Dinner was pasta with a veggie tomato sauce and a cream/ham sauce, the first with canned tomatoes, the second from scratch, both expertly seasoned by yours truly (I still don't know how I do it, I take salt, pepper and herbs and it's perfect on the first attempt, I don't have to reseason, regardless if I cook for one or 30. I guess there is a bit of a Boggan in me ;o)...)
Had fun doing the serving IC and promptly gave Small and Ash the wrong sauces ;o)
Made Dippadoom for Saturday while roleplaying with rats. While Sam was away, the kitchen got blown up and he was much distraught. Bosch trying to talk and use psychology on the disintegrated cooker was just hilarious, though.
Soft roleplayed a bit after time out, chilled, listened to
borusa and Mouse play the guitar and just relaxed. Mouse taught Who's Got the Crack to RBS, a song that was much repeated over the weekend ;o)
Went to bed at half 2.
