"You can tell that it's a Bell-beaker culture rake 'cause it's got seven tines; later proto-Celtic tribes made their rakes with eight. Obviously given its size, we think it's of ceremonial purpose, perhaps a rake lying down in the tall grass for the Gods to step on and smack themselves in the face. We're also considering the possibility that Maiden Castle is actually a huge representation of a Flymo, and we're mounting a geological survey to look for the handle."
