karohemdThe MS Nordkapp (the sister ship of my cruise ship) has sprung a leak after running onto rocks off Deception Island.
Everybody is fine but the trip couldn't continue and both passengers and crew were picked up by the MS Nordnorge to be brought to Ushaia.
Shit for the Nordkapp but even shittier for the Nordnorge because the Nordkapp was on their second to last day in Antarctica (so the passengers lost one day) while the Nordnorge's passengers will lose three days (to go back to Ushuaia). by then, there probably isn't much point in going back as they will again need at least two days to get back to Antarctica.
