Apathetic Weekend
28 Apr 2002 11:10 pmBleh.
I had so much work to do, at least in the house and what did I do? Nothing. Cooking and washing up the backlog, that was it. Otherwise, I just hung around, too lazy to do anything but surf the net and read.
At least the urgent Cam work is done and my last DST report is out of the way. Now I only need to collate the Cambridge stuff for Paul.
Last week's hell temperature wise at work probably didn't do me any good and I slept 12 hours, both last night and on Friday.
This week, there's nothing urgent to do, except wrap up Cambridge stuff, put Sue's and Dave's photos on the web when they arrive and do some housework. I guess I could do a little every evening. I'll also try and go to bed at a sensible time, it'll be good to have 8 hours of sleep regularly instead of just 6.
Blade 2 is on the agenda as well, probably on Wednesday.
Next weekend is a Bank Holiday one which should be relaxing, with possibly a BBQ party at Steve's and hopefully a mage game on Sunday.
Going back to watching The Hitcher on Ch4 now. Good night.
Addendum:
You've probably all heard on the news about the high school shooting in Germany. It's quite amazing how bad some of the research by the media is, even by such high-flyers like the BBC. I've heard a number of times that the shooter was licenced to carry a gun. Nobody apart from police, military and other security or investigation personell are allowed to carry a gun in public. Members of shooting clubs (like the murderer) are only allowed to own a gun and there are strict regulations regarding storage etc.
I just thought I shed some light on this, the news made it sound like anyone could carry around a gun just like that.
