... I bought a chart CD, Anastacia's Freak of Nature.

I absolutely adore her voice and I listened to the CD at Jay's (independent shop in Burleigh St.) and I liked at least half of the songs.

If she made classic Soul or Funk, it would be perfect.
Some songs are great (like the title track), others are a bit too Maria Carey, although her brilliant voice makes up for the lack of quality somewhat.

haven't aqquired that one yet but will soon

tho it must be said the first album is worth it
for only 3 or 4 songs as well :)

Four songs is about right. The title track, Paid my Dues, Why'd You Lie To Me, Don't Stop (Doin' it).

BTW, lack of well sorted record shops in my hometown and lack of time due to crappy trains in Nuremberg meant that I couldn't look for Ann Pierle CDs. :o(

Nah, there are too many other features that prove that she's a woman, the voice being only one of them.
