Mmm, tentacles

I just had a very nice portion of seafood pasta at The Haymakers for lunch.
It had the cutest little mini-octopuses (whole) I've ever seen and they were very tasty, too - in an interesting Mediterranean-Asian fusion dressing (olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, ginger and fresh coriander).

I hope I haven't angered any Deep Ones. ;o)

"Ocotopodes", it's a Greek root, not Latin. (Or "Octopuses" if you prefer English plurals).

Mm... have to go there sometime if they're doing good food, I haven't been to the Haymakers for many years.

D'oh, you're right.

They are under new management (or at least their kitchen, changed last year sometime) and the food is indeed lovely. It's just five minutes from work so very convenient for me (although it's a bit of a wait usually).

mini-octopuses are yum! There's a restaurant just outside the Vatican that does them on a salad :)

Where's this fine establishment? I wish to eat octopi!

The Haymakers on High Street Chesterton.
It was on the specials board so they probably won't have it all the time.
