Not sure yet. There was almost a bit much in the pilot to make sense of it all.
The main characters are well defined, though, and I don't think I'll hate one of them. The female engineer could potentially a bit too cute and fluffy but otherwise cool.
The setting is pretty gritty and shabby, a bit like Star Wars almost, with the difference that the high tech is on the good guys' side whereas the main characters are in a grey area almost outside the law.
The music is Americana/Folksy which is strange but seems to work as the whole setting has a Western style to it.
It's a bit crossover, almost comic like. There's high-tech scifi with space travel, energy weapons, 3D HUDs etc on one end and gritty 19th century Western lifestyle on the other.
Definitely an alternative to ENT which is on at the same time, so I'll keep watching.

If the TV people had run all of the shows in order, it would have had kick ass ratings.
The second show isnt that good. Its what Fox made them run as the pilot. After that, they improve. My favorite is Ariel and War Stories.

It started off with a flashback to the war and then the story how the "crew" comes together (Simon and his frozen sister, The Sheperd etc.) with a trip to Whitefalls(?) where a big shootout happens and they barely escape from a Reaver ship.
It's repeated on Friday.

I was rather miffed that they canned it without finishing the series though :(
Rumour has it that it's getting a DVD release with the three missing episodes sometime later this year. I sooooooooooooooo want to know what Book's background is... they hint at so much, but tell absolutely nothing in the time they had with the show.
