That looks fabulous Ozzy, I think that's another one to add to the recipie book. One thing I that has been hard to source are things like pimento or chipotle. Any suggestions?
I randomly found pimenton on tesco's special ingredients shelf but they only had the sweet variety and I haven't seen it since. I got the hot one from a Spanish stall at Borough Market. I've also occasionally seen (dried) chillies like chipotle and ancho at tesco's, not in the veg section but again in the special ingredients bit where they have stuff like unusual oils, vanilla beans etc.
I got the saffron as a birthday present from dreamsewing who bought it at the spice market in Dubai. :o)

Saffron...I actually have my own crocus stamens. Whether they yield anything beyond colour remains to be seen!
