Erm

I can't even see the river anymore, the rain is that thick. It's like a wall of water being blown across the field between the building and the river...

ETA: Now, half an hour later, the sun is out.

I guess Rex (the security man) and the other people downstairs would drown first, I'm on the second floor.
Hm, maybe I should order a rubber dinghy from Argos then I can paddle home because my car (in the car park below the ground floor) would be useless...

car park below the ground floor

Next to a river? THAT'S stupid planning...

Actually, the car park is level with the ground on the river side, but because it's lower than the entrance on the other side, it's below the ground floor of the building.

This is Cambridge. They're building a housing development next door, on a field that's flooded every couple of years...

Dozy buggers.

They'd have to deliver it in a punt!

[identity profile] karohemd.livejournal.com 2007-01-11 12:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Or just paddle it here and swim back. ;o)

Aw, but they'd have to swim back in water full of dog shit and cigarette ends. Go on, let them at least have a canoe.
