I just saw a bit of the Grand National, and there were two horses without riders running along with the others and one of them came sixth or seventh. I doubt this counts, though.
I always wonder if the rider falls at a fence and breaks his leg. Do they shoot the jockey and the trainer or just the horse because it's discovered independance?
