A fun evening

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] andrewdavies for a good but expensive evening.
First was dinner at Chili's which was OK and I think the Fajitas were reasonable value for money unlike the other things. Nicest were the southwestern egg rolls on the starter platters we shared.
As the place was quite packed, it took longer than expected and we only got to the bowling place at 9:30.
As I thought I would, I failed miserably. What you need is balance, flexibilty, hand-eye-coordination and to some extent upper body strength, none of which I possess. To practice the technique, a lighter ball would have helped but I barely managed to get my sausage fingers into the holes of a large ball.
My last ever shot was the best (a spare), the majority ended up in the left gutter. I'm actually surprised I did as well as I did
£4.50 per person per game is a bit excessive, IMHO.

However, due to great company it was a fun evening and I gladly spent the 30 quid it cost me.
