[Photo] Lunch at Alimentum
The weather was against me so I went for yummy lunch instead. Alimentum's fixed price menu is really good value: 15.50 for three courses, with service charge and drinks coming to just over 20 quid for one. Not bad at all.
I had the camera with me and a table by the window so there was OK light, at least for the D700. In the evenings their light is a bit too dim.

Pressed ham hock terrine with horseradish cream. This was a cold starter but very tasty, quite rustic.

A fantastically deep beef stew full of flavour. The meat practically fell apart and the carrot and salsify were spot on.

This was called "Blood Orange Salad". In the bottom were orange segments in a fab sabayon, flashed under the grill. Then the biscuit on top as insulation for the ice cream. This was the best course, the combination of sweet and tangy, hot and cold was just amazing. Glorious.
