by the way, i try to spread rome burns over germany (okay, i've started with my hometown göttingen) and you've already been compared to placebo, wolfsheim and depeche mode. i hope you take that as a compliment ;)
fantastic! Germany is somewhere half of the band have a special connection to (Daevid and i both lived there for a few years as teenagers), and we have been in contact with a few record labels there about the next album...
wow that are good news! might be much easier for me to get the new album then :-) any idea about the date of release? oh and when are you going to make a video clip? :-)
where in germany did the two of you live? and why?
Release date is unknown, because we are still recording it! All the music is in place, and we are about 40% through the vocals. Then we need to mix it, master it, and print it (we have the front cover done) :)
We have a small group working on ideas for a video shoot, but when that will happen i do not know!
As for Germany, i can't remember where Daevid was, but i spent two years in Wickrath, near Monchengladbach. My father was in the Royal Air Force and was stationed at Wegberg, and i went to school both in Wegberg and on the main base at Rheindahlen.
to me that sounds like a big part of the work is already done ?! do you have a newsletter or something to keep me updated? :)
wow wickrath is really small, isn't it? must have been boring there ;) i grew up in essen, which is about 60km/40miles north-east so i'm rather a big city girl ;)
there is the romeburnsband LJ community, which feeds into the website, i will try and keep that updated as much as i can!
I really liked Wickrath, it had a great bus and train service to Rhydt and Monchengladbach for shopping, and you could cycle to Rhydt park where they had lots of climbing play areas and stuff. Wichrath had loads of schnellimbiss and kiosks, fantastic woods and an interesting assortment of building sites - just what a teenager needs :)
I went back for the day last year, but it's really run-down now :(
