The new "druids"

I walked past there on my to the cinema this evening and I thought they couldn't have made the place any colder but they did. It looked far too trendy (both the staff and the people inside, there were a few tables seated) and to be honest not the kind of place that would welcome a bunch of gamers...
[livejournal.com profile] diasporal_waves talked to them and apparently, they'll let us in next Tuesday. Let's see what happens, I'm not convinced.

Apparently, it's now a "bar & restaurant" (Tapas) but there was no menu outside so I have no idea what prices are like but I'd imagine they won't be cheap.

Bah, I wish there was a decent landlord who would turn the place back into the cosy and lovely pub it once was. With it's pale, sickly green exterior and the cold, clean interior it looks like any other trendy bar/bistro. *hawks and spits*

[livejournal.com profile] akonken, [livejournal.com profile] rirekon and [livejournal.com profile] skinny_cartman: Fire away! Make it a target again, like we did with Bar Citrus. :oÞ

hmm The new Druids opens and gets wrecked by a bunch of hyped up Cardboard crack addicts and LARPers incensed that their haunt has been taken away, 5 people injured in the ensuing chaos and several thousand pounds worth of dammage caused..

Or just have it petrol bombed..

oo thieves escaping the grafton centre get distracted and plough their car through the pub..

To be fair we blew the crap out of it, LRP-style, last time due to the horrible way in which we were treated and essentially hoffed out without even a 'thanks for the money'. This time everything has been a lot more reasonable. Whilst a little light hearted social commentery is cool I think outright revenge is a tad unfair.

I agree, I wish it was a nice cosy pub, but take what you can get at the moment. If it is no good for us, then we will find somewhere else. For me the club is the people, not the place :)
