Rivernene are now doing a "Mini Fruit&Veg Box" without potatoes, onions and carrots (always had too many) with two added bits of fruit (not apples or oranges, yay, as I rarely managed to finish all of those from my fruit bag). So, I get more variety (had a pasta sauce with two colours of peppers and mushrooms this evening) and it's cheaper in the long run, too. I simply get a bag of  potatoes and one of onions once a month, which should last me until the next lot gets in. Result.
