Useless fact from a dream last night

(yes, I remembered something!)
Croc leather briefcases are better suited as flotation devices than those made from other types of leather (it was some sort of Brainiac Will it Float or Sink experiment).
If you think about, it's logical, isn't it?

"I've got dreams, dreams to remember"

or not, as the case might be (and usually is) but sometimes I really want to.

As I know some of you can, do you have any tips for training oneself to remember dreams?

ETA: Thank you all for your info, I shall try and start a dream journal at a convenient point.
